THP Creative Group has a strong foundation in commercial printing, and is an essential part of who we are today. Initially, we began as a news-printing agency for the local community. Since 1945 we have been perfecting our craft in the art of printmaking.
Steeped in the tradition of hand-set type our staff has continued to evolve their craft as true artisans in the digital age. With an eye for meticulous detail and superior color-matching, our company has produced award-winning work for our clients for over three decades as a commercial printer in the Atlanta area.
With a solid foundation in the commercial printing industry, it’s no wonder we were among the first to be asked to help usher in the digital printing age. We pioneered with creative giants like Aldus in the early days of computer-to-print technology (which later evolved into the industry-standard software: Adobe InDesign). In 1985, THP was the first printer in Atlanta to make digital plates from a Macintosh. Anyone remember the Mac 512? We bought ours while on vacation at an Apple Store in Panama City, Florida.
By June 1, 1988, we moved our company to its current 25,000 square-foot facility in Conyers, GA, and we were eventually ranked among the top 50 fastest growing companies in North America for five years in a row. We are proud to continue that legacy of innovation.
Our owner, Jefferson Riley, is not only proud of the rich history of THP but continues to invest in its future. We are among a select few in the country to operate an 8-color Heidelberg press. Our presses aren’t the only thing we’re proud of — our people are pretty amazing too! Mr. Riley has served faithfully over 19 years as a distinguished board member of the Printing and Imaging Association of Georgia — twice as Chairman of the Board. And our staff has a combined experience of over 275 years in the industry.
